Wigan Athletic have made an offer for Everton midfielder Joe Williams.
The Daily Mail says Everton have rejected an offer in the region of 1million from Wigan for Williams.
A number of clubs have been weighing up moves for Williams following his impressive form in loan spells at Barnsley and Bolton during the previous two seasons.
And Wigan have made a formal offer for the 22-year-old, which has been rebuffed by the Goodison Park club.
Williams is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Everton.
