Isaac Hayden insists Newcastle United's season will not be defined by their meetings with the likes of Liverpool.
After last weekend's 3-1 loss at Anfield, Hayden says Toon must be completely focused on this weekend's more important clash with Brighton.
He said: "Our season won't be judged on playing Liverpool away.
"The games for us that we have to capitalise on are against Brighton.
"But we will take a lot from Anfield still.
"The lads gave a good effort and we now take that into training and look to do our best against Brighton."
