The tablet market is going to heat up again as Acer expands its Iconia series tablets, announced at IFA Berlin 2025.
Let’s start with the Iconia X series. These are built for both work and play, running Android with AI-powered features, with the Iconia X12 using a 12.6-inch WQXGA AMOLED display that’s bright, colorful, and light enough to carry around at just 500 grams.
It runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 chip, packs 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of expandable storage, and can last up to 16 hours on a charge. Cameras include a 13 MP rear shooter with flash and a 5 MP front camera, plus quad stereo speakers for solid sound. Acer’s also throwing in optional accessories like a stylus, detachable keyboard, and magnetic kickstand if you want to kit it out.
If you’re after something bigger, the Iconia X14 offers a 14-inch FHD OLED display with a sleek ZeroFrame design. It’s powered by a processor with a built-in NPU, 8 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of fast UFS 3.1 storage.
AI features like gesture-based control, posture reminders, AI Super Resolution, and the quirky Smile Camera make it stand out. Battery life hits up to 10 hours, and it’s housed in a sturdy Iron Gray chassis with a built-in kickstand.
Then there’s the Iconia A series, designed to strike a balance between performance and all-day usability.
Both the Iconia A16 and A14 run Android 15, support up to 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of expandable storage, and integrate their own NPUs for smarter AI tricks. Displays come in 16-inch and 14-inch FHD IPS panels, complete with ZeroFrame designs and built-in tripod-style kickstands.
Connectivity gets a boost with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, while Acer Screen Casting turns the tablets into wireless displays for laptops, handy for presentations, multitasking, or streaming.
