For the Windows laptop, Acer has a couple of new additions revealed at IFA Berlin 2025, and they are the Swift Air 16 and TravelMate X4 14 AI.
First, the Swift Air 16 succeeds in its tradition of being a mobility-focused laptop, designed for people who are always on the move. What stands out right away is its balance between performance, portability, and that sleek design that weighs under 1 kilogram, making it one of the lightest 16-inch laptops out there.
Under the hood, it runs on AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 300 Series processors, with up to a Ryzen AI 7 350. That means it’s ready for AI-driven tasks, local apps, and heavy workloads like video editing or streaming, all while keeping power efficiency in check. Since it’s a Copilot+ PC, you also get access to Microsoft’s new AI features like Recall (preview), Click to Do (preview), and an improved Windows Search.
For visuals, users get to pick between a WQXGA+ AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate and stunning color coverage, or a WUXGA IPS panel at 60 Hz if you want something more straightforward. The AMOLED option especially looks like a treat for designers and freelancers with its deep blacks, vivid colors, and full DCI-P3 support.
It doesn’t cut corners on the extras either – there’s a 2MP FHD IR camera with a privacy shutter for Windows Hello logins, plus dual speakers and mics for clear calls. Connectivity is solid too, with two USB-C ports, USB-A, HDMI 1.4, Wi-Fi 6E, and the latest Bluetooth.
Meanwhile, the TravelMate X4 14 AI is made for businesses and serious users from the get-go, as it comes with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 258V + up to 32 GB LPDDR5X memory + up to 1 TB PCIe storage for smooth multitasking.
Aside from the inclusion of Copilot access like the above, this machine is also portable at just 1.27 kg and 15.9 mm thin, and it meets MIL-STD 810H durability standards, so it’s built to handle tough conditions while looking sharp in any setting.
The 14-inch 16:10 WUXGA display gives plenty of screen real estate, and there’s even an OLED option with 500 nits peak brightness and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification for eye comfort. Add in Acer PurifiedView 2.0, PurifiedVoice 2.0, DTS:X Ultra Audio, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and all the ports you’d want – Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, USB-A, Gigabit Ethernet.
On the security front, you get Acer UserSensing 2.0, which uses a proximity sensor to dim and lock the screen when you walk away, plus compliance with TCO certification. All told, it’s a machine that blends portability, AI smarts, and reliability into a business-ready package.
