The Asian Development Bank headquarters came alive with music, dance and Filipino flavors during “Flavors and Rhythms of the Philippines,” a fundraising event organized by Filipino spouses of ADB staff. Hi Society attended the event at the invitation of dear friend Irene Wicklein, wife of ADB Director General Winfried Wicklein. It drew a distinguished crowd, including several spouses of ambassadors.
Guests were taken on a journey across Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao through cultural dances performed by students of Kalayaan Elementary School, while the ADB Chorale filled the room with well-loved Filipino songs. The event celebrated Filipino culture, with proceeds benefiting the ADB Spouses Association.
