The extended holiday provides an opportunity for families to travel, visit relatives, or simply rest at home. For the Hindu community, Deepavali, which is also known as Diwali, is a festival blends with great cultural and spiritual significance, symbolizing the light’s triumph over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.

By aligning the academic calendar with major cultural celebrations, the Ministry reflects its commitment to inclusivity and to promoting a healthy balance between education and personal well-being.
