adidas is bringing a refined twist to one of its most distinctive silhouettes with the return of the adidas Samba Jane, launching as a regional exclusive at JD Sports across Southeast Asia.
Blending sporty heritage with a fashion-forward sensibility, the updated Samba Jane embraces the growing “sneakerina” aesthetic — a trend that merges ballet-inspired design with classic sneaker culture. The result is a silhouette that balances athletic roots with delicate, contemporary details.

Arriving in two JD-exclusive colourways, the new release offers contrasting interpretations of the Samba Jane’s evolving identity.
The Cloud White / Core Black edition presents a modern take on a timeless classic. Crisp white leather uppers are paired with adidas’ iconic black Three Stripes, creating a clean and versatile look that transitions effortlessly between casual and elevated styling.
Meanwhile, the Cream / Mauve colourway offers a softer expression of the silhouette. Warm cream tones are complemented by subtle mauve accents and grounded by a traditional gum outsole, delivering a romantic yet modern aesthetic that leans into the balletcore trend.
Despite the stylistic updates, the design remains faithful to the Samba Jane’s distinctive identity. Signature T-toe suede overlays and the streamlined terrace-inspired sole continue to anchor the silhouette to the heritage of the original Samba design.
New fashion-led elements elevate the latest iteration. A delicate pleated ruffle trim lines the collar, introducing a soft textural detail, while a metallic heart-shaped Trefoil charm at the heel adds a jewellery-inspired accent. The lace-free design retains its Mary Jane-inspired strap across the midfoot, with the mauve-accented version featuring premium gold hardware for an added touch of refinement.
Dancing To Its Own Tune
Although relatively new to the adidas lineup, the Samba Jane has quickly carved out a place within the growing sneakerina movement, combining streetwear credibility with feminine styling cues.
The new Samba Jane JD Exclusive launches on 9 March 2026 and will be available at JD Sports stores across Malaysia as well as online. The release will also extend to JD Sports locations in Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia.
To mark the launch, special in-store activations will take place from 9 to 15 March at selected outlets including JD Sports Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, JD Sports Mid Valley Southkey and JD Sports Gurney Plaza, bringing the “Not Your Average Jane” concept to life for shoppers across the region.
