Akari hands Choco Mucho 3rd straight loss

MANILA, Philippines — The Akari Chargers did not allow the fan-favorite Choco Mucho Flying Titans to enter the winning column as they posted a 27-25, 27-25, 21-25, 25-22 decision in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) On Tour on Saturday night at the Polomolok Gymnasium in South Cotabato.

Akari bounced back after a loss over ZUS Coffee to tally a 1-1 win-loss record, while Choco Mucho absorbed its third consecutive defeat after losing to ZUS and PLDT.

The Chargers banked on Chenie Tagaod’s 19 point output on 11 attacks, six blocks and two aces.

Ivy Lacsina and Grethcel Soltones churned out 14 and 10 points, respectively for Akari.

Choco Mucho still showed a balance output as Caitlin Viray and Meanne Mendrez 16 points each, while Maddie Madayag and Jewel Encarnacion added 16 and 14 points, respectively.
