
MANILA, Philippines — The Alas Pilipinas men are out of the medal race after bowing to Indonesia, 20-25, 23-25, 25-27, in the 2026 Southeast Asian (SEA) V.Cup at the Candon City Arena in Ilocos Sur on Friday.
The world No. 90 Philippine men's team came from a heartbreaking 5-set setback to Cambodia last Wednesday and dropped to a 0-2 win-loss card in Pool A.
Alas will try to score a breakthrough win in the classification round against Myanmar on Saturday.
Jude Garcia led the scoring for the Alas men with 14 points, while Kristofer Alejos backed him up with 11.
Boy Arnez Arabi put up 23 points to lead Indonesia to victory.
