Music fans across Asia, including the Philippines, will be able to watch the national selections for the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia in Bangkok, Thailand, the contest announced on Tuesday.
Also, the Philippines’ selection process for the competition will take place on Aug. 30 on ABS-CBN.
Eurovision Song Contest Asia will allow viewers to follow each participating country’s National Selection Show and help decide the songs that will make it to Bangkok.
Viewers can stream them live on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel.
On Aug. 11, Bhutan will select its entrant for the song contest, with five finalists announced for their national final. It will be followed by Malaysia selecting its singer on Aug. 15.
After the Philippines’ national selection on Aug. 30, South Korea’s national final, Korea’s Next Wave, will take place on Sept. 4, followed by Nepal on Sept. 19, and a two-day national selection for Laos on Sept. 23 and 24.
Host nation Thailand will select its artist and song on Sept. 27, through Thailand’s Chosen One, followed by Bangladesh on Sept. 30.
Other countries’ national selections will be announced later.
The inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia will take place on Nov. 14 in Bangkok.
