ALSONS Power Supply Group on Monday said that it had signed a supply deal with Japanese-affiliated firm Makoto Metal Technology Inc. to power the latter’s two plants through its retail electricity arm Alsons Power Supply Corp. (APSC) at the Mactan Export Processing Zone II in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
“Cebu is an important market for us, particularly with its strong base of manufacturing and commercial customers,” Alsons Power CEO Antonio Miguel Alcantara said.
“Partnering with Makoto Metal Technology Inc. is an important step in expanding our presence in the Visayas and bringing our energy solutions to more businesses across the country,” he added.
For his part, Makoto Metal Administration and Support Manager Jon Romulo Montances said, “Having a reliable, competitively priced, and flexible electricity supply is essential to sustaining our operations and supporting our continued growth, and we see Alsons Power as a trusted partner in that regard.”
Alsons said the partnership strengthens APSC’s position in Cebu as it continues to serve businesses seeking competitive and customized electricity supply options.
Alsons Consolidated Resources Inc.’s share price rose by 8 centavos to close at P1.40 apiece on Monday.
