The post “Am I your maid?” – M’sian Woman Reconsiders Marriage After BF Offers Her RM10/Hour to Do House Chores appeared first on WORLD OF BUZZ.

A Malaysian woman expected happy moments when moving in with her boyfriend, but cracks started to show just two months later.

She revealed that during their time living together, costs such as rent and everyday expenses were shared. While the woman had no problem splitting the bills, she was the only one taking on the household duties by doing the chores every day.

The woman sought help from her partner, who not only refused to lend a hand but was more than happy to pay her to get the chores done without his “manpower.”

The man decided to pay her RM10 per hour, in exchange for her efforts

However, the suggestion did not sit well with her.

She shared:

“I scolded him and asked if he thought I was his maid. I also told him that RM10 per hour is too little!

“He scolded me back, saying that I was after his money! We were planning to get married within a year.”

Without his help and unhappy with the “wage,” the woman is now concerned about moving forward with the relationship. In an anonymous post shared with Malaysian content creator Ah Lee, she questioned whether this was her cue to move out of the house.

“That’s not a boyfriend, that’s a roommate”

Ah Lee, baffled by the situation, said that it wasn’t just a sign to leave the house, but a sign for her to end the relationship.

The content creator pointed out that in the woman’s situation, it looks more like she was staying with a roommate, not a lover. With the RM10 pay per hour, Ah Lee was brutally blunt about the value, citing the woman’s fate “worse than a prostitute.”

“A maid typically gets paid at least RM15, or up to RM20 per hour. You might as well tell him outright that you’re only interested in his money. He can use cash to pressure you, but not loose change,” she added.

In her video, Ah Lee also reminded the woman that although it is common for unmarried couples to live together, breakups can still happen, and she encouraged the woman to reconsider her long-term future.
