SHAH ALAM - Amanah will lodge a police report against Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi following his speech during Umno’s special briefing session, yesterday.

The police report against the former deputy prime minister, Amanah claimed, will be made due to the former’s alleged insults, accusations thrown at the judiciary, Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC), Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

In a Facebook post, Amanah said the party’s mobilisation bureau will lodge the report at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters in Kuala Lumpur at 11am.

“Referring to the full speech of Umno president at the party’s special briefing, who had insulted the judiciary, AGC, MACC and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, a police report regarding the issue will be made,” it wrote.

Yesterday, Zahid delivered his speech during Umno’s special briefing session held at Dewan Merdeka, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL).

The meeting which was held at 2pm saw leaders speaking about their incarcerated party comrade Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Also present were Umno's deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, vice president Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid, Umno Wanita chief Datuk Seri Noraini Ahmad, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos, Datuk Seri Bung Mokhtar Radin as well as other division chiefs and supporters.

Najib's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and their daughter Nooryana Najwa were also present during the briefing session.
