- Broadcaster Amol Rajan has become the first contestant eliminated from the new series of BBC reality show The Celebrity Traitors after being murdered by secret traitors Richard E Grant and Maya Jama.
- Comedian James Acaster was selected as the third traitor for the series following a pitch against Rajan, who was subsequently targeted for elimination.
- Appearing on spin-off show The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, 43-year-old Rajan conceded that he played the wrong game, though he believed he would have performed well as a recruited traitor.
- Rajan explained that he consciously tried to fly under the radar to avoid an early exit, while also addressing actor Richard E Grant's accidental revelation of his traitor identity to fellow participants.
- The Celebrity Traitors returns to television screens on Thursday at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
