MLA from Amritsar Central constituency Dr Ajay Gupta inaugurated several development projects in four wards of the segment on Sunday and said that 100 percent development work would be completed in the area.
The projects were inaugurated in Ward number 53 at Mandir Ravidas Indira Colony, Ward number 55 at Gali Gokul Chand and Gali Khai Wali, Ward number 56 at Gali Gosaiyan, Gali Bhaiya and Gali Shekhan Wali, and Ward number 57 at Gali Mawa Wali and Gandi Gali.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Gupta said no area of the constituency would be left without development. He said the sewerage system in these localities had already been improved and now the streets were being paved with concrete flooring. He added that residents were happy as the construction of streets and drains had started.
The MLA said development works had already been approved for all 14 wards of the constituency and work was progressing daily in different areas. He said the Aam Aadmi Party government was committed to providing facilities and welfare schemes to the people.
Dr Gupta also highlighted the government’s pilgrimage scheme under which buses carrying devotees to religious places are regularly being sent from the Central Assembly constituency. He said the upcoming “Maa-Dhi Swagat Yojana” had also brought happiness among women. He added that he meets people daily to listen to their problems and ensure quick solutions.
