Director School Education (Secondary) Punjab Sachkar Singh Bal visited the summer camp being held for students of government schools at Meritiorious School here.

It is a special summer camp to help prepare students of various Schools of Eminence for competitive examinations during the summer vacations, in which about 527 students are participating. They are being trained by teachers from the country’s top educational institutions.

The special camp, organised for students of class XI and XII of School of Eminence for the preparation of NEET, JEE and other competitive examinations, was inspected by Sachkhar Singh Bal, who motivated them to work hard achieve their goal.

The government has tied up with Bharti Airtel Foundation, with officials supporting students for career guidance as well as scholarships.

In this 24-day residential summer camp , the students are being given dedicated coaching and supplementary material, besides free food and stay. The Punjab School Education Department is bearing the entire cost of the programme, including accommodation, meals, study material and coaching.

The main aim of the camp is to provide strong academic guidance and quality preparation for national-level competitive examinations such as JEE (Main and Advanced) and NEET.

Sachkar Bal said the coaching camp began on June 5 and will continue till June 28. The 24-day residential programme has shortlisted around 3,000 meritorious students from different parts of the state, who are being coached at 10 meritorious schools.
