Muntinlupa starts distribution of free school packages

MUNTINLUPA City has started distributing free Balik Eskwela Packages to public school students, with Mayor Ruffy Biazon monitoring the rollout at Bayanan Elementary School Unit 1 on Tuesday, June 16.

Biazon said the distribution was conducted simultaneously in other schools, while schools not included in the first schedule will receive their packages in the following days.

The mayor said the city government provided free school supplies because of taxpayers' support.

“Thank you to the taxpayers so we can provide free school supplies to public school students,” Biazon said.

Biazon also monitored the distribution at the Alabang Elementary School, where he said the process went smoothly as students and parents showed excitement over receiving their packages.

He reminded parents to ensure that children are not controlled by gadgets, warning that excessive use could distract them from their studies.

“Parents, let’s make sure that our children are not controlled by gadgets. We must be the ones who control the gadgets, because kids can lose focus in studying and be diverted to gadgets,” Biazon said.

Biazon assured the public that all students enrolled in Muntinlupa public schools will receive the free Balik Eskwela Packages as the distribution continues.

The distribution will continue in the coming days based on the schedule prepared by the city government and schools.
