Anwar should heed Kadir's advice to stop dancing with wolves which are known to determine whether the prey lives or dies the moment they make eye contact.

Only the ancient Red Indians of North America knew how to dance with a predator like the wolf and walk away unharmed. In the mystical world of the Red Indian society, "the Wolf and the Indian once lived in harmony. They hunted together and their spirits touched". Anwar is certainly not a Red Indian and he should heed Kadir's warnings not to tango with wolves.

However, Kadir is not talking about the Red Indian myth. He is talking about something closer to home, addressing the current situation where there exists an older "predator who preys on unsuspecting victims for personal gain".

Kadir warned Anwar in no uncertain term, that it's "Enough dancing with the wolves, whether it's an old wolf or a young wolf." He is concerned that dancing with wolves may make Anwar lose everything even his premiership in the long run, if he was not careful.

Anwar and this old wolf once lived in harmony and hunted down political foes together just like in the case in the North American myth, and their spirits touched.

"To the Native Americans the wolf has always been a teacher. They revered the wolf as a wise and cunning hunter and even adopted many of the wolf's ways. The wolf has an innate ability to survive and thrive and be in balance with the world they share. Wolves have great stamina, the ability to track well ... The Indians respected the wolf's patience and perseverance, which were his most effective hunting weapons." - Nuwati Herbals

The Indians developed the skill to pass unseen by observing how wolves behaved which in the end helped them to outwit their human enemies.

"The best compliment for an Indian is to be told that he hunted or fought like a wolf." - Nuwati Herbals

Anwar was once mentored by an old wolf and is aware of how his life mirrored that of the mentor, thus creating a strong spiritual bond between the two. They understand one another although not as intertwined as the lives of the wolf and the Red Indian warrior.

But the Mentor seemingly has the upper hand. Kadir, a long-time political observer of the old wolf, knows his determination to succeed. In fact, this wolf Kadir is talking about has 'an innate ability to survive and thrive and have great stamina with the ability to track well'.

Like the Indians and the wolf, the local foes here in Malaysia "hunted for the survival of their families and both fought to defend their pack (tribe) against enemy attacks." - Nuwati Herbals

Both Anwar and his mentor will fight to defend their own pack just the way the wolves and the Red Indians behaved in yesteryears. They would fight until death.

"When a wolf meets its prey there is a moment of eye contact that determines if the prey lives or dies." - Nuwati Herbals

When you meet the wolf face to face at the moment of truth, maybe at the last dance perhaps, the wolf knows whether the prey lives or dies. But in all probabilities during a hand to hand combat without weapons, the wolf very often survives to fight another day.

In the last tango with a local wolf the old Mentor sometimes referred to as the sifu, the mentee will most likely lose if not killed in the ensuing fight.

In this last battle between Anwar and his old mentor, the mantee has a lot more to lose. In fact, he may even lose everything. On the the other hand, the old wolf has nothing to lose.

Speaking to MalaysiaNow, Kadir said it was not politically wise for Anwar to keep up the conflict with his former mentor. "If this continues, Anwar could lose everything while Mahathir won't lose a thing... Mahathir is free to say whatever he wants because he no longer holds any position or power."

If by chance the wolf dies, "Wolf wisdom teaches one to face the end of ones life cycle with dignity and courage." - Nuwati Herbals

That's one characteristic that the old wolf has in him. He has the courage and appears dignified at all times which his mantee has yet to perfect for himself in his current role as a leader of the pack.

Lastly, "To observe the wolf is to learn that if you develop strength and confidence you don’t have to prove yourself." - Nuwati Herbals

This is the time when Anwar ought to walk in the Red Indian's moccasins appreciating that you do not have to prove yourself to anybody, more so to a mentor who already knows all your moves.

Kadir went on with his advice to Anwar, "If he (Anwar) doesn't want to lose to Mahathir, who already lost at GE15, and if he has the necessary proof, he should just take action against him."

To get an idea how to dance with wolves, go see Dances with Wolves starring Kevin Costner as Lieutenant John Dunbar, assigned to a remote western Civil War outpost, befriends wolves and Native Americans, making him an intolerable aberration in the military. The Red Indians named him Dances with Wolves.

Meanwhile, Anwar Ibrahim has to decide whether to tango or not to tango in this last dance planned by his mentor. If he chose to dance with the wolf, our advice is not to look into his eyes. That way, the wolf would not be able to read whether you'll live to fight another day.
