AYER KEROH – The President of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, stated that he has no issue discussing the application made by six Branch Chiefs in Negeri Sembilan, who requested the party to re-evaluate the leadership of Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun as the State Leadership Council (MPN) Chairman for the state.
However, he mentioned that he has not yet received the letter itself, although he has already been informed about it.
"I haven't received it yet, but I have been informed. We have no problem with it and can discuss it," he said when met after officiating the Keadilan National Congress 2026 at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) here on Saturday.
He said this when asked regarding claims that six Negeri Sembilan PKR Branch Chiefs had sent a letter calling for Aminuddin’s resignation.
Previously, Sinar Harian reported on the letter, which was signed by the six Negeri Sembilan PKR Branch Chiefs.
It involves the Jelebu Branch Chief, Zainal Fikri Abd Kadir, Rembau Branch Chief, Dr Jufitri Joha, Seremban Branch Chief, Noor Iskandar Mohamad Nor, Rasah Branch Chief, Ahmad Izzudin Ismail, Kuala Pilah Branch Chief, Ismail Muhamad Nor and Tampin Branch Chief, V Raja.
Based on the letter sighted by Sinar Harian, it stated that the application was made to strengthen the party's organisation in the state following the recent defeat in the Negeri Sembilan State Election.
The letter noted that the results of the previous State Election provided an opportunity for the party to reflect on its organisational strength, campaign strategy, and leadership effectiveness at the state level.
"As a party that practises the principle of accountability, a comprehensive evaluation should be conducted to ensure PKR continues to gain the trust of the public and its members.
"The Chairman of the Negeri Sembilan State Leadership Council, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, must take responsibility for the State Election defeat, which has led the Negeri Sembilan Keadilan Branch Chiefs to lose confidence in the State MPN Chairman," they stated in the letter.
In the Negeri Sembilan State Election, Aminuddin, who is also the Member of Parliament for Port Dickson, contested the Linggi State Assembly seat but lost in a three-way contest against the incumbent for the seat, Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli from Barisan Nasional (BN), and Zamri Md Said from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).
