MANILA, Philippines — Arellano University toppled University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, 88-65, for its third win in as many games in the NCAA Season 102 men’s basketball tournament on Friday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
Arellano also forged a tie for the number one spot in pool B with Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
King Vinoya led the scoring for the Chiefs with 15 points while T-mc Ongoton added 13 points, four rebounds and three assists.
Yuan Camay and Basti Valencia both svored 10 points for Arellano.
The Altas, on the other hand, were led by Juan Tulabut and LA Casinillo, who scored 16 and 14 points, respectively.
The Altas outrebounded the Chiefs, 45-33, but shot a dismal 35.7 percent (25 shots made out of 70 attempts) from the field.
Arellano shot better at 53.2 percent (33 shots made out of 62 attempts).
