Unidentified assailants recently opened fire at Sahib Kheti Store in the border village of Sabhra, triggering panic among area residents.

The unidentified persons reportedly fired multiple shots at the shutter of the store, located in the main market of Sabhra village. The attackers allegedly targeted shops situated opposite the residences of Jaspal Rai, aka Gorkha Shah; Gagan Shah; and Lali Shah.

Preliminary reports suggest that the incident may be linked to an extortion attempt.

The attackers reportedly carried out the firing in broad daylight at around 3 pm. The incident has

created an atmosphere of fear in the village and surrounding areas.

When contacted, ASI Gurpal Singh Pannu, in-charge of the Sabhra police post, said CCTV footage from the area was being examined and a detailed investigation was underway.
