Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard admits he's left Carney Chukwuemeka out of his tour squad due to a contract issue.
Chukwuemeka was part of the England U19 squad that won the Euros earlier this month.
The midfielder is yet to sign a contract extension at Villa Park and has just twelve months' left on his current deal.
Speaking to Aston Villa media channels, Gerrard revealed the reason behind he was not included in the squad: "Carney is yet to sign a contract offer that has been in place for some time now.
"I've decided the best thing for him would be to continue his training programme back at Bodymoor."
