
SOUTHERN Police District (SPD) operatives arrested two high-value drug suspects and seized over P1 million worth of suspected shabu in a drug-bust operation inside a computer shop in Barangay 146, Pasay City on Thursday morning.
Police identified the suspects as alias “Timor,” 30, a vendor residing in Barangay Baclaran, Parañaque City, and alias “John Ashley,” 25, unemployed and residing in Barangay 145, also in the city.
An initial police investigation showed that the two suspects, who were classified by authorities as high-value individuals (HVIs), were arrested in a computer shop along Sarhento Mariano Don Carlos Revilla Street.
Authorities recovered from alias Timor one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet and one knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing suspected shabu, the buy-bust money, a white envelope, and a black plastic bag.
Authorities confiscated one transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and a light blue Android smartphone from alias John Ashley.
In total, law enforcers seized approximately 150 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P1,020,000.
The apprehended suspects were taken to the SPD Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit for documentation and to prepare criminal charges. Charges of violations of Section 5 (Sale) and Section 11 (Possession), Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared against alias Timor, while charges for violation of Section 11 (Possession) will be filed against alias John Ashley.
