Band who joined Oasis at Knebworth in 1996 would ‘love’ to return for Live 27

  • Britpop band Ocean Colour Scene have expressed a strong desire to support Oasis once again during their upcoming live shows at Knebworth, with lead singer Simon Fowler stating they would love to join if given the nod.
  • Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher recently confirmed a 38-show Oasis tour, which features four dates at Knebworth alongside performances at Glasgow's Celtic Park, Manchester's Etihad Stadium, and Ireland's Slane Castle.
  • Frontman Simon Fowler and guitarist Steve Cradock confessed to having virtually no memory of their original August 1996 Knebworth support set in front of 125,000 people, attributing the blank to feeling terrified on stage.
  • During that historic 1996 set supporting Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene performed popular tracks such as “The Day We Caught The Train” and “The Riverboat Song”, alongside a cover of The Small Faces' “Song Of A Baker”.
  • Ocean Colour Scene are preparing to launch a 30th anniversary tour for their hit 1996 album Moseley Shoals this November, with scheduled dates in London, Glasgow, Cardiff, and Belfast.
