Barcelona coach Xavi was delighted after their 3-0 preseason rout of Real Madrid in Dallas.

Ousmane Dembele opened the scoring for Barca, with Fermin Lopez and Ferran Torres also netting late on. Vini Jr missed a penalty for Real Madrid.

"Now we will be the best and the other day we were a disaster," said Xavi. "That's the way we are as Culs and the environment (around the team).

"We've done a lot of things well, but we've also made a lot of mistakes that we have to correct. Obviously, the result is spectacular, but at this stage of the season it's secondary. The important thing now is to improve.

"We've had some very good moments, but we have to have more. We have to try not to lose silly balls. I understand that a win against Real Madrid always leaves the fans satisfied."

Oriol Romeu impressed on debut for Barca.

Xavi added: "He is a great signing. He is a very mature player who wins duels and is a leader on the pitch."
