Barcelona president Joan Laporta has written to UEFA and FIFA over the Negreira case.
Both football bodies have expressed concern as Spanish authorities investigate Barca and their relationship with former ref chief Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira.
According to Catalunya Rdio, in the letter, Laporta asks the organisations "not to prejudge Bara" , "to be responsible and not join in the public ridicule that it is suffering" and to "refrain from making public statements and let Bara can defend itself in the open judicial process".
However, both the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, and UEFA counterpart Alexander Ceferin have expressed their concern publicly.
