
FILIPINO runner Loraine Audrey Batalla seized the girls 400m gold medal at the Indonesia U18 Open Championships 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia on Sunday.
Batalla clocked 57.14 to rule the competition, besting local bet Jasmine Mumtaz Sasy and Malaysian Deenarthni AP Seerang.
Sasy timed 61.74 seconds for the silver medal while Seerang posted 61.95 for the bronze.
Batalla goes for a double finish on Monday when she competes in the 400m hurdles.
Meanwhile, the coming MILO Walk Run and Roll will have its formal launching on Tuesday in the weekly Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum at the Philippine Sports Commission media room.
Appearing in the public sports program on behalf of the event are coach Joar Calvadores, sports commissioner and Olympian Walter Torres, along with a PWD and sign language interpreter.
The Walk Run and Roll is being held by MILO in partnership with the PSC.
