AMPANG: Police have arrested a foreign woman who was found begging at a Ramadan bazaar at Keramat Permai, here, recently, a news portal reported.
Ampang Jaya police chief ACP Mohamad Farouk Eshak was reported as saying that an investigation also found that the suspect did not have any valid travel documents.
“During an inspection, the police also found RM1 notes totalling RM240,” he said in the report.
The case is being investigated under Section 6(1)(C) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 and Section 27(C) of the Minor Offences Act 1955.
