DATUK Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee has been removed as Bersatu’s representative on the Perikatan Nasional Supreme Council in a move that reshapes the party’s presence within the opposition coalition ahead of a pivotal leadership meeting.
Kiandee, who is aligned with former Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, has been replaced by party vice-president Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin. Radzi had previously resigned as the coalition’s information chief.
Kiandee confirmed the development when contacted.
With the change, Bersatu’s remaining representative on the Supreme Council is vice-president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
Both Faizal and Radzi are currently carrying out the duties of deputy president and are widely regarded as aligned with Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
The reshuffle comes as the Perikatan Nasional Supreme Council is set to convene a closely watched meeting at the PAS headquarters in Kuala Lumpur at 3pm today. Members are expected to formalise Muhyiddin’s resignation as coalition chairman and deliberate on his successor.
Muhyiddin is also expected to attend the meeting, which is seen as crucial in determining the direction and leadership structure of the opposition bloc moving forward. - February 22, 2026
