K-pop group TREASURE surprises fans by joining a birthday celebration at a KL restaurant, sending the viral post across social media
A birthday celebration at a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur turned into an unforgettable experience after a popular K-pop boy band unexpectedly joined in the festivities.
A Threads user shared a video showing her and her cousin celebrating a birthday at Locarasa Restaurant and Patisserie in Bamboo Hills when members of TREASURE were also present at the same venue.
“Sorry, guys. We are breathing the same air. My cousin and I got to celebrate with… TREASURE,” she wrote in the caption.
In the clip, the group members were seen joining in as the “Happy Birthday” song played in the background, clapping along with other diners who appeared visibly delighted by the surprise encounter.
The post quickly went viral, attracting more than 17,000 likes and sparking excitement among fans online.
Many netizens asked for details about the group’s visit, including timing and what they ordered, with the uploader replying that she was at the restaurant around 5pm.
Others expressed amusement and envy, with some joking that they would celebrate their own birthdays even if their favourite idols appeared months later.
One user quipped: “Please delete the post. I don’t like it because I am jealous.”
Another commented that the group was fortunate to be able to dine peacefully in Malaysia without being mobbed by fans.
The South Korean group is currently in Malaysia for their “Pulse On” concert held at Axiata Arena on May 30.
