Earlier, the BJP leaders assembled at the Mahadev Temple in Kotla Kalan in Una to perform a yajna to celebrate PM Narendra Modi’s 12 years in power as he became the longest serving PM of the country. He had equalled Jawahar Lal Nehru’s record of 4,398 days as Prime Minister on Tuesday.
Later while addressing mediapersons, Jairam Thakur took a dig at the Congress, saying the party was divided into many factions and the Chief Minister was not the leader of the party, but of one faction within the Congress.
He said the spate of allegations and counter-allegations by the Congress leaders, including the CM, in public and on social media had put the party and the government on the back seat. He further alleged that development had come to a halt and lawlessness reigned supreme under the Congress’ tenure.
Meanwhile, Anurag hailed PM Modi for his untiring service to the nation, adding that Modi’s leadership had taken India to great heights on all fronts.
The Lok Sabha member said during the last 12 years, Modi had given a corruption-free governance and a decisive leadership even during testing times. India had grown in stature on the economic and global fronts during this period, he added.
