BN backs Hajiji as Sabah CM

SHAH ALAM - Barisan Nasional (BN) says it will back Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as the Sabah chief minister.

It has also named Datuk Yakub Khan as deputy chairman to represent Barisan Nasional in negotiations with the Sabah unity government.

Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir said a permanent secretariat of the unity government has been fomed to coordinate all parties in the government.

"This includes the decision of the Leadership Council of Secretariat of Unity Government to establish a similar Secretariat at the state level including in Sabah.

"BN is responsible in mobilising all efforts to ensure that the unity agenda can be realised.

"It will provide the best service to the people of Sabah through the Sabah unity government," he said through a statement today.
