SEMPORNA: Two men were found drowned after they went missing following the boat crash incident at Pulau Sebangkat on August 6.

District Acting Police Chief, DSP Fauzi Abd Kadir said police received information following the discovery of two bodies at 1.15pm on Saturday.

Fauzi said the bodies were found floating in the waters off Pulau Bohey Dulang by a team of Vat69 Commando while patrolling in the area.

“Preliminary investigation found that the two bodies are the victims of two boats crash that occurred on Aug 6 off Pulau Sebangkat.

Read more “Both bodies are male in their 20s and have been taken to Semporna Hospital for post mortem,” he said, adding that investigation is ongoing under Section 280/304A of the Penal Code.

In the meantime, Police advised members of public not to make any speculation or spreading (viral) any issues that have yet to be verified in the social media as it could spark panic among the community.
