
Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and his wife Datin Seri Juliah Salag attended a breaking-of-fast ceremony for Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) personnel alongside the Head of State at Ibnu Battuta Mosque, Kota Kinabalu RMN Base in Sepanggar on Thursday.
Head of State Tun Musa Aman and his wife Toh Puan Faridah Tussin graced the event, joining RMN officers and personnel in a spirit of brotherhood and gratitude in conjunction with Ramadan.
The programme commenced with a brief religious talk (tazkirah) followed by the breaking-of-fast, and continued with congregational Maghrib, Isha, and Tarawih prayers.
Also present were Armed Forces Chief General Datuk Malek Razak Sulaiman, Sabah Federal Secretary Datuk Mohd Razali Wahab, and Eastern Fleet Commander Vice-Admiral Dato’ Khir Junaidi Idris.

Meanwhile, Hajiji Noor witnessed the presentation of RM300,000 from SD Guthrie Berhad (Guthrie) to Yayasan Kebajikan Sabah (YKS) at Menara Kinabalu on Thursday.
Guthrie Group Managing Director Mohd Haris Mohd Arshad presented the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) contribution to YKS Director Datuk Diyanah Abdullah (photo below).
Also present were Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Ceasar Mandela Malakun, Guthrie Group Operations Services Head Razlanshah Abd Malek, and Sabah Region Chief Executive Officer Upstream Operation R Vijayakumar.
