Brighton are in talks with former Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch.
The Austria international is wanted by Brighton as a replacement for Yves Bissouma after his move to Tottenham.
Talks are now at an advanced stage over a deal for Grillitsch, who has also been linked with Arsenal.
The Daily Mail says he is a free agent after coming off contract at Hoffenheim.
Brighton have so far this summer brought in Julio Enciso from Libertad in Paraguay and Simon Adingra from Norwegian side Nordsjaelland.
