Brooks Koepka is tied for the lead after the opening round of the RBC Canadian Open in Toronto.
Koepka posted a superb 64 on day one at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, after making eight birdies, two bogeys and eight pars.
The 35-year-old American has undoubtedly been trending in the right direction over the past couple of months.
Now all that remains for Brooks Koepka is to return to the winners’ circle on the PGA Tour. Maybe, just maybe, his time will come at the RBC Canadian Open this week.

Koepka withdrew from the Charles Schwab Challenge two weeks ago, so he’s nicely rested and refreshed ahead of the most important part of the season.
The five-time major champion played alongside Nick Taylor on day one in Toronto on Thursday, and he made a comment about what that was like with the vociferous Canadian fans cheering on their man.
Brooks Koepka comments on Canadian crowd after playing with Nick Taylor
The scoring was very good on day one of the Canadian Open at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley.
The average score was 68.540, with soft conditions playing right into the players’ hands.
However, there was still plenty of trouble out there waiting for any offline drives or approach shots.
Koepka managed to avoid the trouble for the most part. He spoke after his round and responded when asked how he found playing alongside fan favorite Nick Taylor in Canada.

“Yeah, it was good,“ he said.
“We had a good time. Obviously it’s a good group I think, first off. I enjoy playing with those guys. They’re quite fun and chatty while we’re playing, which is great.
“Then the fans were great. So that’s all you can ask for any time you tee it up.“
Brooks Koepka’s verdict on his game after day one in Canada
Koepka was asked to sum up the state of his game right now.
“I played pretty solid,“ he said.
“I don’t think the ball striking was as good as it’s been as of late, but I mean, it’s tough to compare. It’s been unbelievable the last six months, but it was nice to see the putter finally heat up.
“It was just a culmination of kind of freeing the mind.
“If you just change one thing, move the ball position back a little bit with the putter and kind of help free up the mechanical side of it and not really think of anything other than just have it slightly a bit back of where it’s been.“
Brooks Koepka is definitely trending nicely and it should surprise nobody if he goes on to win the Canadian Open this week.
