Kota Kinabalu: Team Seri Pahlawan Awam Muara clinched Sabah’s Head of State Trophy at the 37th FCAS Sabah International Dragon Boat Race held at Likas Bay on Sunday.
The team made up of Brunei and local members took home the RM10,000 cash prize after completing the 800-metre race in three minutes 34.51 seconds.
Team manager Yorley Sara Francis revealed that the self-sponsored team with members from three different districts and Brunei only had a month of training before the race.
