Budget 2027 targets economic growth in Melaka and Negeri Sembilan through TVET programmes, flood mitigation, road upgrades and improved rail connectivity.
PETALING JAYA: The government will strengthen investment, job creation and infrastructure development in Melaka and Negeri Sembilan under Budget 2027.
Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the Melaka Centre of Excellence would create better-paying jobs for locals through high-tech Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes.
He said flood mitigation efforts in Melaka would also be strengthened through river rehabilitation works and the Sungai Rambai flood mitigation project.
Meanwhile, Anwar said Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 would drive economic growth in Negeri Sembilan, supported by a new road linking Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Bandar Enstek, upgrades to the Pajam-Nilai-Salak road and implementation of the Klang Valley Double Track 2 project.
