Kota Kinabalu: GRS Deputy Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan said calls for Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor's resignation is a political game designed by the opposition to undermine the current leadership.

"It is not fair to ask the Chief Minister to resign," he said after launching the GRS Pemuda Movement on Hajiji's behalf at the Sabah International Convention Centre, here, Sunday.

"He (Hajiji) has not been charged with any offence and the recent controversies are merely orchestrated attempts to damage the leadership's reputation," said Jeffrey.

He pointed out that many opposition leaders are currently facing legal challenges.
