A participant in the Cardiff Half Marathon has died, Run 4 Wales has confirmed.
The death was confirmed by the event organisers in a statement issued on Monday.
A spokesperson said: "We can confirm that a participant in this year’s event has sadly passed away."
The spokesperson added: "We’d like to acknowledge the event and hospital medical teams who reacted with great speed and professionalism.
"Our deepest sympathies go out to the runner’s family and friends."

The organisers said that no further details would be released, in accordance with the family’s wishes.
The 13.1-mile route took runners through the Welsh capital on Sunday.
More than 30,000 people had registered for the 23rd edition of the event over the weekend, Run 4 Wales said.
The death is not the first to occur following the half marathon.
In 2024, Stephen Jenkins, 37, died in hospital after he collapsed at the finish line. He had suffered a cardiac arrest, according to media reports.
In 2019, Ben McDonald, 25, and Dean Fletcher, 32, also died after going into cardiac arrest following the event.
The two men had crossed the finish line within minutes of each other.
