A tragic incident was averted in Kerala’s Malappuram district when a bus driver acted swiftly to save a toddler who had crawled onto a road just moments before the vehicle approached.
The incident, which occurred around 8.30 am on June 10, was captured on CCTV camera and has since gone viral on social media.
The footage, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user named Kabeer, shows a bus travelling along the road when the toddler suddenly appears sitting on the road. On spotting the child, the driver immediately applied the brakes and brought the bus to a halt. Following this, the bus conductor rushed onto the road, picked up the toddler and moved the child to safety.
According to the social media post, the child was safely reunited with the parents, who reportedly became aware of the situation only after the toddler was brought back to them. It remains unclear how the child reached the highway.
