- Celtic have completed the signing of former England goalkeeper Sam Johnstone from Wolves.
- Johnstone, 33, who earned the last of his four England caps in October 2023 has joined on a season-long loan, and will bring plenty of experience after previous spells at Aston Villa, West Brom and Crystal Palace.
- His arrival comes after the club confirmed that Jonny Kenny and Reo Hatate have both left to join Preston and Burnley, respectively.
- Kenny spent four-and-a-half years at Parkhead, but has now joined Preston in the Championship after struggling to establish himself as a regular starter.
- Hatate also joined Celtic at the start of 2022, and scored 33 goals in 191 appearances, but has now signed a three-year deal with Burnley.
