
Kota Kinabalu: A 48-year-old food seller was charged with cheating another man RM90,500 over a road project.
Abdillah Hamzah pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Wan Farrah Wan Farriza Wan Ghazali, Friday.
He is accused of cheating Chong Kong Fah by deceiving him to believe that he was awarded a road project in Kinabatangan, causing Chong to bank in the money into Syarikat Dilwani Enterprise’s account.
The offence allegedly took place at Maybank in Semporna between June 23, 2018 and Dec 5, 2018.

The court set April 8 for mention and released Abdillah on a bail of RM3,500 in two local sureties.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Ling Zhin Ling appeared for the prosecution while duty counsel Carman Khoo defended Abdillah.
