France boss Didier Deschamps spoke of the imminent operation after Les Bleus lost to Croatia on Monday night, sparking fears his Stamford Bridge switch will be called off.
However, Goal report that Chelsea were aware of the issue and Kounde is expected to be fit for pre-season after the “minor" operation.
