Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has added Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham to his 2023 shopping list.
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool have been seen as favourites for Bellingham's signature, but the Evening Standard report that Boehly has identified the 19-year-old as a top target, while the American is also implementing a new recruitment structure at the club.
It was a chaotic summer for Chelsea as they spent more than £250m on 11 players, with Boehly appointing himself as interim sporting director.
Following the window, Thomas Tuchel was also sacked, while several key figures across the club have left the club since the takeover led by Boehly went through in May.
Borussia Dortmund star Bellingham, who has captained the side in recent weeks, is seen as one of the most promising talents in world football and, along with Chelsea, has been linked to Spanish giants Real Madrid and league rivals Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool.
He's made 105 appearances for Dortmund and scored 15 goals since joining the Germans for £25m from Birmingham back in 2020.
