Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor is happy with the performance of the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (HTSMJ) 1.0 (2021-2025) initiative and is determined to achieve even better results.

He said the State Government, through the ministries, departments and agencies, will continue to work diligently to ensure the performance of HTSMJ is continuously enhanced.

“We will continue to strive for better results, particularly for the initiatives that have been planned and are currently being implemented,” he said when receiving the Annual Report Book for HTSMJ 1.0 (2021-2025) for the year 2024 at his office in the State Assembly, Monday.

Hajiji received the book from Chief Coordinating Officer (CCO) of the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Secretariat, under the Chief Minister’s Department, Datuk Datu Rosmadi Sulai. State Secretary Datuk Seri Sr Safar Untong was also present.

The Chief Minister said the 2024 report is an important document that summarises the achievements of the implementation of key initiatives under the five-year development framework of HTSMJ 1.0, which serves as the cornerstone of the State’s socio-economic transformation, including the Blue Economy.

Meanwhile, Rosmadi informed Hajiji that as of April 14, 2025, a total of 446 initiatives have been launched by various ministries and departments under the HTSMJ 1.0 Plan, with an overall implementation achievement rate of an impressive 94.47 per cent.

“This achievement reflects the strong commitment of the entire State administration in successfully executing Sabah’s development agenda in an inclusive, sustainable and high-impact manner,” he said.

He said the submission of the report not only symbolises the transparency and accountability of the State Government but also marks the progress that has been made and the future direction of Sabah as it navigates the final phase of the implementation of HTSMJ 1.0 leading up to 2025.

SMJ Secretariat Chief Operating Officer Ramlee Kariah and its Director Rosnih Othman were also present.
