Twenty school students survived a scare when a school bus plying for Chitkara International School rammed into six stationary vehicles in Panchkula today morning.
The bus hit cars parked on the roadside, lost control, and went on to hit more vehicles on its way to school. Six vehicles parked on the roadside suffered major and minor damages.
Area residents took out the school kids from the bus and attended to them. Passersby informed the police after which ERV teams reached the spot.
Police are investigating whether the accident was due to mechanical failure or it was a case of driving under the influence. The bus driver is being questioned.
