A viral video of a tour bus stuck on a narrow road due to poorly parked cars sparks calls for stricter enforcement against inconsiderate drivers.

A video showing a tour bus struggling to pass through a narrow road allegedly blocked by improperly parked cars at Taman Botani Perdana has triggered discussion online, with many Malaysians criticising inconsiderate parking habits.

The post, shared on Threads by @aleeyarxzali, has garnered more than 2,000 likes and almost 200 comments, with many users saying motorists who park along narrow roads often create unnecessary congestion and inconvenience for others.

“Please don’t park by the roadside like this. It’s really causing trouble for other people!” she wrote.

Many commenters criticised the motorists involved, describing their actions as selfish and inconsiderate towards other road users.

“Selfish and making life difficult for everyone else,” mrdealer89 commented.

“The mentality of drivers who simply park their cars wherever they think is convenient is purely selfish,” cheong2125 wrote.

“All because of these stupid drivers parking everywhere on the streets,” 888dlb888 added.

User zamri3463 urged stricter enforcement to deter motorists from parking illegally or obstructing traffic.

“It’s time for the authorities to be stricter with drivers like this. Tow their cars away and teach them a lesson,” he wrote.

“That’s exactly why I avoid parking wherever I like. I love my car too much,” farabeautydiary commented.

User zatieeeee__ expressed her frustration by pointing out that the narrow road should have made it obvious that parking along both sides would block larger vehicles.

“You already know the road is narrow, so don’t double-park there. When traffic gets stuck, even motorcycles can’t get through. There’s security there too, so why aren’t they stopping people from parking along the roadside when proper parking is already provided?” she wrote.

Meanwhile, some users argued that motorists who park irresponsibly should bear the consequences if their vehicles are damaged while obstructing the road.

“The cars parked there are clearly in the wrong, so you can’t really blame the bus if it ends up scraping them,” linaraof commented.

“Serves them right. Just drag it if it’s causing problems. If the area is already full, go to another park instead of blocking the access road,” itwasmezuraidah added.

User shootblanks.666 succinctly wrote: “Just drag it.”
