MANILA, Philippines — The Cignal Super Spikers got off to a strong start in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League, dominating the Galeries Tower Highrisers in straight sets, 25-17, 25-14, 25-11, Saturday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

Tin Tiamzon's impressive all-around performance fueled Cignal's dominance, scoring 10 attacks, 2 blocks, and 6 aces showcasing her key role in the team's first win.

The Super Spikers’ cohesion and experience shone through, setting the tone for their 2026 PVL campaign.

Alas Pilipinas ace Vanie Gandler chipped in 14 points while Erika Santos added 13 markers for Cignal.

"We really wanted to have additional players, to be honest. But we don't have that opportunity, so we will rely on our core. I believe that my players are capable," head coach Shaq Delos Santos shared, relying on his core.

Galeries' Erika Deloria was the team's sole double-digit scorer, tallying 10 points along with 21 excellent receptions, while veteran Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, still adjusting to her new team, churned out only five points.
