Kota Kinabalu: City Hall (DBKK) is hoping to turn Inanam into another tourist attraction, beginning with the revamp of its traditional market in town.
The market site that once laid on bare ground now has a roof and cement floor, with proper stalls and even ceiling fans.
The project, funded by the Ministry of Local Government and Housing at a cost of RM530,000, took three months. It is scheduled to begin operations early January 2024.
The keys for 20 kiosks were handed over to tobacco and yeast sellers, among others, in a ceremony on Tuesday.
